Installation ​

To get started with Dresktop, follow these installation instructions:

Download the Latest Release ​

  • Visit the Dresktop releases page on GitHub.
  • Select the version of Dresktop that matches your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).

Initial Setup ​

  • Launch Dresktop for the first time.
  • The first launch may take longer as the system will download the required Docker images and configure the containers for some functionality.
  • Add your SSH key path and downloads folder in the settings to ensure secure connections and proper backups.

Troubleshooting ​

  • Ensure that Docker and Git are properly installed and configured. Docker must be accessible via the command line.
  • Operating system compatibility: Be sure to download the correct architecture (x86 vs arm64).
